Sayran (سەیران) is an app for booking verified villas and planning picnics across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Also known as Picnic Kurdistan, it lets you browse real villa listings, see what each stay is rated on, and book from your phone. Sayran is available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
Where are the best picnic spots in Kurdistan?
The four picnic destinations featured on Sayran are Rawanduz Gorge, Halgurd Meadows, Bekhal Falls and Dukan Lake, all in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Rawanduz Gorge, Halgurd Meadows above Choman and Bekhal Falls near Soran sit in Erbil Governorate; Dukan Lake lies in Sulaymaniyah Governorate. Expect canyons, waterfalls, alpine flowers and wide turquoise shores.

A verified villa on Sayran is a listing shown with real guest photos rather than stock images, so what you see is what you arrive to. Every stay is also scored on content accuracy — how closely the listing matches reality — along with five other criteria, and hosts publish the property’s facilities, capacity, rules and pricing before you book.
How are villas and stays rated on Sayran?
Every stay on Sayran is rated across six criteria: content accuracy, cleanliness, host behaviour, on-time check-in, location and value for money. Guests submit these ratings after a stay, and each criterion is scored on its own from 1 to 5 stars. Scoring the same six things every time lets guests and villa owners know exactly what to expect.
How does cancellation work, and when do I get a refund?
Sayran has three cancellation tiers: cancel more than 7 days before your stay for a full refund, 2–5 days before for a 50% refund, and less than 2 days before for no refund. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. There is no fine print beyond these three tiers.
Do Kurdistan’s picnic spots cost anything to visit?
The four picnic spots featured on Sayran — Rawanduz Gorge, Halgurd Meadows, Bekhal Falls and Dukan Lake — are free to access. You only pay when you book a villa or a stay through the Sayran app; the landscapes themselves cost nothing. Sayran asks everyone for a leave-no-trace promise: take the photos, leave the place as you found it.
How do I book a villa in Kurdistan?
To book a villa in Kurdistan, download the Sayran app from the App Store or Google Play and reserve your stay inside the app. You create an account with your phone number, choose dates, guest count and any meal options, then pay on the secure checkout page of Rasedi, Sayran’s payment provider — the app never sees or stores your card number.
